Why cant taxes be better prepared for?

When I am working with clients I often find they are not taking taxes seriously. Meaning they are not planning for them ahead of time in order to be able to pay them at the end of the year even though I am providing budgets for them to set the funds aside.

What is a best practice you have seen or use to ensure clients are setting aside the fund properly?

Hi there I have been in this profession for over 18 years and I have clients who have been with me for 13 years and still do not review their financials and do not prepare adequately for taxes. There is really nothing that can be done. I would advise that as long as you are providing the information it is up to your client to do their part. You can not be responsible for their follow-through. We can not be responsible for ensuring the clients set aside the funds, we can only offer the advice.
